French Butter Keeper- Sage gray wheat

Wheel thrown stoneware.  Butter keepers are a clever piece of pottery that has been in use since the middle ages. Keeping your butter soft and fresh when left out at room temperature. 

Dishwasher safe.

Measurement: 3.5x3.5

How to use:

Take a stick of butter and press it down into the lid while the butter is soft.  A small amount of water goes into the base of the crock, I like to add a pinch of salt.  This helps to seal the butter off from open air keeping it fresh.  Don't over fill the water.  You will need to change the water out regularly, at least 3 times a week to keep fresh.  Butter can stay out at room temperature.
